Internal Audit Manager Insurance Dublin: Lead internal audit team to protect organization's assets, reputation, and sustainability through independent assurance and risk management.

About the Role This is a leadership position within the Internal Audit department of a well-established company. You will play a key role in evaluating and strengthening risk management, control, and governance processes in accordance with industry best practices.

  • Lead and execute audit assignments, staying current on industry developments and regulations.
  • Support the team in delivering constructive feedback within a complex organization.
  • Ensure clear and transparent communication to key stakeholders for their understanding and continuous improvement.
  • Manage all phases of the audit process for multiple concurrent audits, adhering to established standards and the approved audit plan.
  • Provide leadership support to the head of the department and relevant committees when needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments for assigned business areas, contributing significantly to the annual internal audit plan.
  • Collaborate with management to track action plans and ensure timely resolution.
  • Build strong relationships and share expertise with colleagues within the broader Internal Audit network.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in internal or external audit, ideally with exposure to compliance and regulatory matters.
  • University degree in a relevant field or a professional accounting qualification.
  • Strong understanding of audit practices and methodologies.
  • Proven leadership skills with a practical and results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex matters in a way that is tailored to the audience and situation.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think objectively and demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively advocate within the organization.
