Job Description

Internal Controls Manager – Financial Controls sought to support delivery of Internal Controls strategy, ensuring emerging risks are addressed and controls are designed and operationally effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and embed key controls and risk frameworks across Financial Control environment.
  • Manage annual testing process relating to financial controls, either through internal or third-party testing.
  • Support and educate control owners and operators in reviewing processes, implementing control improvements and change management.
  • Create control KPIs to monitor control environment for end-to-end processes.
  • Maintain and monitor improvements trackers for process areas and update management on implementation status.
  • Engage with and build strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Lead and support with Controls Self-Assessment for 1st Line.
  • Support development of control reporting pack for Senior Finance Stakeholders.
  • Business partnering with Global Process Owners, Process teams and Team Leads on changes to process that impact Controls Framework.
  • Review, support and deploy design and operational effectiveness testing of key and non-key controls.
  • Support development and embedding of controls conscience and culture in fast-paced growth oriented business.
  • Provide structured and unstructured training to Finance team.
  • Other related ad hoc activities.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Financial Accounting (ACA/ACCA).
  • Strong working knowledge of Financial controls, compliance and risk management.
  • Experience in reviewing and re-engineering procedures, formulating policy, process, controls and compliance ensuring risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrated ability in providing technical guidance and deliver training to end users.
  • Experience in data interrogation to identify issues, errors and fraud.
  • Ability to perform and lead investigations where required and facilitate/implement key actions.
  • Experience in Change Management is desirable.
