Job Description

Internal Controls Manager – Non-Financial Controls and Projects: A key role in ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management across the organization.

We are seeking an experienced Internal Controls Manager to support the delivery of our Internal Controls strategy. As a pivotal member of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring that emerging risks are addressed and internal controls are designed, operated, and aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and embedding key controls and risk frameworks across Non-Financial Controls and Projects
  • Designing, developing, and managing the annual testing process for material non-financial controls
  • Supporting the development and embedding of a controls conscience and culture in the organization
  • Creating control KPIs to monitor the control environment for end-to-end processes
  • Leading and supporting Controls Self-Assessment for 1st Line
  • Providing training and education to colleagues on reviewing processes, implementing control improvements, and change management
  • Assisting with large systems implementations to ensure controls are considered at system design stage
  • Monitoring improvements trackers for process areas and updating management on implementation status
  • Engaging with and building strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Supporting the development of an appropriate control reporting pack for senior stakeholders
  • Maintaining awareness and advising senior management of control best practice

Qualifications and experience:

  • Qualification in accounting, data analytics, or engineering
  • Experience working in a SOX environment
  • Strong working knowledge of controls, compliance, and risk management
  • Experience in reviewing and re-engineering procedures, formulating policy, process, controls, and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability in providing technical guidance and delivering training to end users
  • Experience in data interrogation to identify issues, errors, and fraud
  • Ability to perform and lead investigations where required
  • Experience in Change Management and managing multiple projects simultaneously
