This is a great opportunity for a strong tax professional to further develop their technical skills, expand their experience and grow both personally and professionally. The Director will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of international and / or domestic corporate tax clients. They will gain broad consulting experience in a supportive and dynamic environment and be involved in the development of the wider tax team in Cork as well as leading business development initiatives. This firm offers a competitive remuneration package along with flexible working arrangements, generous leave entitlements, pension contributions, healthcare, gym membership and opportunity for accelerated career progression etc. Responsibilities include: Responsibility for a broad portfolio of international and / or large Irish domestic clients Provision of tax consulting advice to some of the world's largest multi-national groups Advising clients on large and complex cross border transactions including mergers, acquisitions, group restructurings, IP alignment planning, transfer pricing etc Assisting clients in developing international tax strategies and keeping up to date on tax developments Working closely with Partners and other team members in providing advice to clients on a wide range of international tax advisory projects Project management of Irish and cross border planning projects Researching and reviewing tax technical memorandum and reports Liaising with Irish Revenue and foreign tax authorities on behalf of clients. Opportunities to work with other service lines including across assurance, strategy, consulting, and transactions. Supervising and mentoring a large team across numerous levels About the person: A qualified tax consultant, with good corporate tax experience and ideally some international tax experience. The person should be comfortable dealing with clients and building relationships. They will be a good communicator, self-motivated and capable of leading a team.
