Job Title: Stock Controller
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team at T J O'Mahony.
Job Purpose:
The Stock Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, managing stock movements, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to defective or unacceptable goods.
- Monitor and control stock levels, including managing special orders and negative stocks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with the Group Stock Controller to achieve targets and improve overall stock management.
- Coordinate and participate in stock takes and cycle counts as required.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, place orders, and ensure timely delivery.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant knowledge of building materials and industry practices an advantage.
