Job Description

This is a key role in the Investment Control team, which delivers Asset Reporting under Solvency II Regulations for UPE.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure delivery of accurate Solvency II Asset QRT’s for Group Companies are in line with deadlines.Ensure that external reporting and internal handoff deadlines are met in a qualitative and productive manner, in accordance with timelines.Analyse, detect, troubleshoot issues with a view to provide solutions (ideally by supporting/programming solutions that can automate the process and avoid manual intervention).Manage master data, including creation, updates and deletion of substantial volumes of data.Data base management – maintain, monitor, ensure asset data is kept up to date in a timely and accurate manner.Implement solutions to ensure no reoccurrence of same errors. Maintain up to date documentation to support the production and analysis of each QRT including Taxonomy updates and System updates.Identify and escalate key risks to the production deliverables and operate with a risk-aware mind-set day to day.Demonstrate adherence to all UPE codes, standards and policies in the execution of your day to day responsibilities.Assist with continuous improvement of operational processes and systems, in line with controls and risk management in a regulatory environment.Develop your own knowledge and enhance the knowledge of other team members.Advise, assist and act as SME in line with project deliverables and requirements.Support Audit requirements when they arise, work closely with and support the Audit team, ensuring no high priority issues are raised.Key TasksDevelop accurate and timely production of Solvency II Asset Reports.Drive continuous improvements in Reporting quality and timeliness for QRTs.Stakeholder Management.All required reports are produced accurately and in accordance with deadlines with no significant issues or delays that are within team’s control.Review all QRT outputs prior to distribution to Management.Review and adhere to reporting plan and operate to key deadlines.Ensure all processes and procedures are updated regularly.Identification and escalation of issues for resolution where required.Improvements to process, EUC excel macros and IT systems identified, prioritised and championed.Assist with defining user requirements for system enhancements.Enable reporting timelines by reporting and resolving day-to-day issues.Work collaboratively with Internal and External stakeholders.Evidence of a risk management culture within the team focusing on enhancing productivity and controls.Devise initiatives and improvements in the efficiencies and quality within the team.Embrace change and ensure that it is introduced to the team in a managed way, with no compromise to reporting deliverables.Willingness to accept requirements relating to developing your professional and technical skills.Demonstrated level of flexibility in terms of day-to-day activity and changing business needs.Key RequirementsThird level qualification in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or relevant business-related degree.Business Analysis and advanced Excel/VBA skills to manage and control data.Strong programming skills such as SQL and Python. Knowledge of other programming languages would be an advantage.Minimum of 2-3 years related business/Investment sector experience.Exposure to Investment Management, compliance and SII regulatory matters/issues.Strong Knowledge and experience of investment products.Experience of working with Power BI or other.Excellent communication, analysis, report writing and interpersonal skills.Demonstrates strong organisational skills with the ability.Have the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines while displaying a strong attention to detail. #J-18808-Ljbffr
