Job Description

We are seeking a Junior IP Litigation Associate to join our client's rapidly expanding international law firm in Dublin which requires two days mandatory attendance in their office per week. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the wider Intellectual Property (IP) team and support clients across a range of technically complex industries, helping them find commercial solutions to the legal challenges they face. The IP Team The IP team is part of one of the largest international practices and is highly regarded and ranked Band 1 in the UK. The team has unmatched expertise in both contentious and non-contentious matters, covering all areas of IP rights, including trademarks, patents, copyright, database rights, confidential information, and data privacy. The team advises on IP protection, enforcement, strategic management, valuation, and monetization of IP portfolios. Our clients are a diverse mix, reflecting our broad capabilities. As part of this growing team, you will: Advise on a broad range of IP rights, including trademarks, designs, and copyright issues. Help deliver a top-tier litigation service to our clients. Work closely with IP Partners to expand the practice. Support the firm's strategic objectives. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone with strong academic achievements and a desire to build technical expertise in IP law. Key qualities include: Experience in handling complex IP litigation (desirable) within a comparable environment. A strong interest in working in an international firm and a team-oriented atmosphere. A solid understanding of how a commercial law firm operates. Flexibility to support cases across a wide range of IP litigation issues and jurisdictions. Ability to handle complex IP matters, working efficiently alongside senior associates and partners. An appreciation of client needs and priorities. Strong knowledge of key legal areas, providing precise, practical drafting and advice. Effective communication with other fee earners and the ability to coordinate with colleagues from other disciplines and jurisdictions. Delegation and supervisory skills where appropriate. A desire to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Willingness to support business development initiatives. Commitment to ongoing technical expertise improvement and professional development. Familiarity with using social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter) to amplify messages and engage with professional networks.
