Job Purpose and Summary / Aufgabenprofil und Zusammenfassung der Stelle / Résumé du job  IP Semiconductor  Service Engineer - Location West DublinOverall Purpose: Takes responsibility for product support to customers using Canon wafer stepper equipment. This support includes Service, Installation and general machine technical support. Service - To provide service support to customers in line with service guidelines and good practice including carrying out machine inspection on site,  machine testing and quality checking , machine repairs, fault diagnosis and ordering parts as necessary and providing any follow up support as appropriate in order to meet customers’ needs. Contract support will be required between fixed days and times. Main customer will be Intel Ireland in LeixlipInstallation - To install machines on site in line with installation guidelines, completing all necessary equipment receipt and inspection activities, completing the assembly, fine tuning to specification and carrying out qualification/optimisation in line with customer requirements. Main customer will be Intel Ireland in Leixlip.Administration - To provide general service administration in line with customer requirements.  Completion of technical reports and documentation. Provide telephone and email support to customers.  Order tools/parts as required and ensure compliance with all H&S regulations.Training - To provide more formal training to customers as required.Specialist Service work - To undertake specialised service work, replacing specific units in accordance with guidelines and specifications.  Work with optical parts, projection lens, X-Y stage and OPTF replacements.Maintain specialist knowledge in line with best practice.  Maintain and improve technical know-how of self and colleagues within a rapidly changing technological environment.  Study service reports and technical documentation.   Maintain awareness of software upgrades and attending relevant training courses.  Ensure knowledge and skill levels are maintained to a high level in order to best meet customer technical requirements.Canon Brand Ambassador & Customer key contact - To advise customers on a broad range of technical issues and act as spokesperson for Canon.  To resolve technical problems raised by customers with other engineers.  Liaison with Operations Director, Japan or Amsterdam, in order to ensure customers’ requirements are fully satisfied.  To provide technical support and advice to both customers and Canon personnel during installation and other service activities.An amount of foreign travel could be required   What we give / Was wir bieten / Ce que nous offronsServicing customers equipment on site in a busy cleanroom environmentInstallation of several new Semiconductor manufacturing machines of different typesChallenging and cutting edge technology requiring skill and experienceWorking together with customers to maintain and optimize machine productivity in a busy production environmentKeeping up to date on service informationWriting service reports both for customers and for internalWhat we ask / Wen wir suchen / Ce que nous attendonsEssential Skills            Minimum HNC in Electronics or Electrical EngineeringHigh standard of written and spoken English and numeracy skillsElectrical or electronic background for a minimum of 3 years.Mechanical skills advantageousComputer literate with a good competence of standard software including Word, Excel and OutlookGood interpersonal skills and a flexible approachProven employment track record Non-essential skills that would be advantageous         Clean driving licenceYou will needWe need people who can achieve the exceptional by working collaboratively, who have the courage to risk new ways of doing things and the ability to see the world the way their customers see it.
