Proactive IT support specialist sought to manage and maintain existing business processes and IT systems, interacting with various internal departments and sister companies.
Responsibilities
- Provide level 1 support to users for hardware, software, phones, printers, and production machines.
- Coordinate help desk activities and escalate support requests as needed.
- Work with IT analysts to provide services support, including VPN client configuration, smartphone setup, and network configuration.
- Manage user accounts, application authorization profiles, and computer accounts.
- Build, provision, and configure end-user devices.
- Administer nominated applications.
Requirements and Experience
- Proven helpdesk or application support experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and task completion skills.
- Proactive and able to find improvements and refine processes.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of business processes and systems.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop a good working knowledge of a rapidly expanding IT landscape.
- Self-motivated and excellent documentation skills.
Qualifications
- Related 3rd level qualification.
- One year's experience in a similar role, ideally in the manufacturing sector.
- Experience with production machines and/or MES applications is advantageous.
