My Dublin based client is recruiting for an IT Engineer coming from POS / EPOS background to join the team on a permanent basis working on a hybrid model. Job Responsibilities Ensure seamless operation of POS systems and customer-facing technologies Oversee the implementation of new facilities and upgrades, ensuring alignment with the latest technology standards Identify and apply technological solutions to enhance business process efficiency Deliver comprehensive third-tier technical support for both facilities and systems Diagnose and resolve issues, including conducting root cause analysis, testing solutions, and ensuring complete resolution Collaborate with business units to introduce new technologies and processes Coordinate and manage projects, including the development of technical concepts and necessary documentation Serve as the technical lead on cross-departmental projects, ensuring adherence to IT policies and standards Manage relationships with selected vendors to ensure that service delivery aligns with expectations Experience Required A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role with client-facing experience Proficient in Windows Operating Systems (Client\Server) Basic network knowledge Comfortable with learning new systems and applying them in every-day use A keen problem-solver with the ability to use critical thinking to find the most productive solution Understanding of KPIs and SLAs with proven ability to adhere to them Excellent organisational and time management skills Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels Experience of working in or leading a project team Essential and Desirable Skills Full drivers license Linux experience Red Hat and CentOS Advanced networking knowledge Cisco, Huawei, Fortinet, Barracuda Knowledge of Oracle / SQL databases Knowledge of scripting and automation tools desirable PowerShell, Python, Ansible etc. Vendor certifications such as Cisco, CompTIA A+, Microsoft etc. Educational Requirements Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering, or a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role with client-facing experience Working Hours & Benefits Health insurance Hybrid Working Free onsite car parking, gym, heavily subsidized canteen Pension Bike to Work HOW TO APPLY: If you are interested in this role, please apply for this role with your updated CV and I will be in touch to discuss your application in detail.
