Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Field Engineer to join our team on an ongoing contracting basis for our client in the communication provider space. This position primarily involves supporting customers across the Kildare region, with a focus on infrastructure and network design, implementation, and troubleshooting. This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be required to be on site with a number of our clients across Kildare three days a week. Key Responsibilities: Provide both onsite and offsite IT support for customers Design and implement server hardware and network solutions Support and manage Office 365 environments, including email migrations and Microsoft Teams implementation Build and administer Microsoft SharePoint sites Design, implement, and manage Active Directory environments Provide support for switching, firewall, and router configurations (experience with Watchguard, Fortinet, or Palo Alto preferred) Troubleshoot and resolve issues, from major system crashes to password resets Collaborate with other IT professionals, engineers, and customers Stay current with industry trends and obtain certifications relevant to the role Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar IT support or engineering role Minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft desktop applications and issues Experience with Active Directory Strong customer-facing skills and ability to provide hands-on technical support Must have valid driver's licence and transportation Familiarity with server, networking, and cloud technologies (Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.) Experience with firewall, router, and switching technologies If you're passionate about technology, have a strong technical background, and enjoy solving IT challenges, we'd love to hear from you!
