Were on the lookout for a dynamic and professional Field Engineer to join their Application Support Team. Think you have what it takes to deliver top-tier client support across Ireland and the UK? Lets talk. Why You'll Love This Role: This is not your typical IT job. You'll be the go-to person for deploying and troubleshooting cutting-edge business applications and Microsoft SQL Server solutions right at client sites. And when tech hardware goes rogue? You're the hero that saves the day. ?? With travel across Ireland and occasional trips to the UK, no two days will be the same. Travel will likely be 2 days onsite a week- or some weeks more and less. What You'll Do: Travel & Deploy: Onsite installation and support for business client/server software and the hardware it runs on, keeping things humming for customers across Ireland and the UK. Typical experience should include server, active directory, windows, handling tickets etc. Own It: Take charge of projects and drive them to successful completion, troubleshooting as you go. Be the Fixer: When software or hardware issues arise, youre on itdiagnosing problems, liaising with vendors, departments, and customers to find solutions. Customer Whisperer: Ensure that customers are always satisfied, escalating issues when necessary to ensure timely resolutions. Collaborate: Youll work closely with the Application Support team, sharing knowledge and picking up new tricks along the way. Tech Evolution: Help move core applications to the cloud. Got some Azure experience? Big bonus! ??Multiple on prem to cloud migrations set up for the next couple of years across their 200 customers. What a way to grow your skillset right? What We're Looking For: Tech-Savvy: Youve got a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science (or related field) and real-world IT support experience. On the Go: Clean driving license and your own set of wheels, because travel is part of the deal. (Weve got your travel and mileage covered, dont worry! ????) Put up in nice hotels and all spend covered. Customer-Centric: Stellar communication skills are a mustyoull be working directly with clients, making tech problems sound easy. Tech Wizardry: Deep knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and desktop hardware. You know your way around Windows Servers and Terminal Servers, and you're comfortable with basic SQL Server. Hardware Master: you can troubleshoot it all or do what's needed to figure it out with the support of a cracking team. Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Strong logical thinking, initiative, and an ability to thrive under pressure are what were looking for. Networking Know-How: Basic knowledge of networking and IP addresses is a plus. SQL Scripting Skills: Familiar with running database backups, restores, and writing basic SQL queries? Even better!
