IT Junior Infrastructure Engineer 1508 SimoTech has an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the SimoTech team on site with our client, a global leader in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure and providing support across various business areas in the API pharmaceutical facility. The ideal candidate will come with an eagerness to gain exposure working in a regulated environment, strong communication skills, and a good grounding in IT infrastructure fundamentals. Key Responsibilities Work as part of the infrastructure services team, assisting in the management and maintenance of IT servers and workstations on-site. Support the Manufacturing Infrastructure team in handling customer incidents and requests during daily operations. Take responsibility for hardware and software lifecycle management tasks, such as deploying, upgrading, and retiring GxP servers and workstations. Act as a site contact for global cybersecurity efforts, including antivirus deployments, vulnerability monitoring, and ensuring patch compliance. Assist in delivering global projects locally, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on time. Ensure timely coordination and support to minimize any infrastructure-related production disruptions. Provide regular updates to the local Infrastructure team, escalating issues when necessary. Follow company Quality Standards when creating and maintaining infrastructure validation documents. Oversee regular infrastructure access reviews and ensure compliance requirements are met through periodic audits. Encourage the adoption of new technologies and system features to enhance work processes. Qualifications 2+ years relevant experience with a good understanding of infrastructure components like Windows and Linux server platforms, VMware, EMC storage solutions, etc. Hands-on experience with managing operating systems such as Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Windows 7/10, and Linux. Familiarity with ISA S95 standards and cybersecurity best practices. Competent in using cybersecurity tools, including antivirus software, vulnerability management, and patching solutions. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy. Capable of producing clear and concise documentation. Ability to work independently, taking initiative to identify areas for improvement and drive changes. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships. Experience within a manufacturing production environment is nice to have.
