Job Description

Daily rate contract, hybrid remote, 2 days a week onsite at Dublin City Center. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing a Software Project from initiation to service delivery (including Business Readiness). The successful candidate should possess a strong technical knowledge base with exposure to Oracle / Java technologies and have experience in delivering projects preferably in the Financial Services industry or Insurance. Strong experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies is required. Key Accountabilities Working with business sponsors & portfolio managers to define the scope and approach to deliver business outcomes. Defining & structuring projects to meet business and IT objectives and managing the projects through all stages of the project lifecycle. Ensuring projects are managed and delivered in compliance with the organizations project lifecycle and controls framework Delivery of projects in accordance with agreed targets i.e. scope, timeline, costs, and benefits Use professional project management disciplines, processes, and tools to mobilize projects and ensure appropriate balance between cost, quality, scope, and timescales is achieved in line with expectations. Ensure effective working relationships with appropriate internal and external stakeholders/vendors to achieve successful implementation of change. Responsibility for ensuring delivery processes are being followed and associated QA is in place. Manage communications to ensure that budget, issues, and risks are managed, controlled effectively, and understood by stakeholders. Effective leadership of project teams in a multi-vendor environment Technical Skills Working knowledge of and experience in delivering projects in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies Experience in management of third-party supplier(s) for project delivery Process-oriented with a focus on problem identification, decision-making, solution implementation, and day-to-day operational management. Proven track record of achievements Experience in delivering to strict target dates and service levels. Track record in the delivery of both business and technical infrastructure projects. Ability to grasp complex issues in a short space of time Interpersonal Skills Strong team leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse team/stakeholder groups. With a proven track record of developing and mentoring project-based teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong facilitation and negotiation skills Ability to deal with both technical and business stakeholders and explain technical problems to business stakeholders Experience Minimum 5 years of IT and Business change projects of increasing complexity, preferably within the Financial Services industry or Insurance. Proven experience in managing projects from a budget management and technical delivery perspective with a track record of delivering to strict target dates and/or service levels Proven experience in delivering projects in a multi-vendor environment across geographical locations. Proven experience in delivering projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Proven experience in leading project teams to successfully deliver business change agendas. Proven experience in delivering projects across business, technical, and software delivery. Proven Experience in delivering infrastructure projects to include hardware/software installations and upgrades. Experience working in a highly regulated environment, preferably in the Financial Services industry or Insurance Skills: senior project manager software project insurance
