Job Description

For our client, the leading audio entertainment company in North America, and the premier programmer and platform for subscription and digital advertising-supported audio products we are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer II. Our Clients platforms collectively reach approximately 150 million listeners, the largest digital audio audience across paid and free tiers in North America, and deliver music, sports, talk, news, comedy, entertainment and podcasts. Position Summary: As a Quality Engineer II, you will perform readiness testing to help bring integration capabilities to the organization using Mulesoft. This testing will include unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and performance tests. The integrations delivered by the Mulesoft team help automate tedious manual tasks, saving time and money, and enable teams in the company to focus on higher-value endeavors. This role also includes supporting our production operations by handling issues as they come in from our stakeholders for existing integration applications, researching the cause for the issues, bringing to resolution, and communicating / documenting the solutions. Duties and Responsibilities: Work with the Mulesoft development team to implement proper testing of integration applications under development, including use of MUnit, SonarQube, JMeter, and Jenkins Create written test plans to document what tests have been performed, and what the expected and actual results were, with pass / fail status Create Jira tickets for the development team when bugs are found that need to be addressed Participate in conversations with the team to discuss ways we can improve our processes to facilitate high-quality code in an efficient manner Collaborate with other development teams, operations partners, and internal business stakeholders on such projects Proactively act on production support issues and / or system alerts that can arise throughout the day; clearly and concisely communicate with the affected stakeholders, and document work being performed Escalate problems of a critical nature to the development and/or management team Keep up on the latest testing techniques and tools and incorporate into our methodology as appropriate Overall Mule-centric responsibilities include: Running, analyzing, and debugging applications in Mule Studio Helping to ensure proper naming convention, logging, success / error notification, and error handling best practices are implemented Monitoring applications using Email, Anypoint Monitoring, and/or ELK to ensure expected performance and monitor stability and error alerts Technical Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering (any field) or closely related quantitative discipline Familiarity with Mule 3.x and Mule 4.x Familiarity with Mulesoft Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform Runtime Manager Monitoring Visualizer Support Center Familiarity with Java, Groovy, Dataweave Familiarity with Log analysis tools such as ELK / Splunk Familiarity with build tools such as Jenkins Familiarity with ticketing tools such as Jira or ServiceNow Familiarity with messaging brokers such as JMS / ActiveMQ / AnypointMQ Competency in Unit Testing frameworks such as Junit / Munit, and performance testing tools such as JMeter Familiarity with Postman / SoapUI Benefits You Can Expect: Competitive salary and annual bonus program Healthcare provided to all employees and their eligible family members, paid by the Company Life cover (4X base salary) Short and long-term disability Pension contributions up to 8% of your annual base salary Bike2Work scheme Tax saver tickets Employee Assistance Program 25 days annual leave (pro-rated) 10 days paid sick Maternity and paternity leave Adoption leave Skills: Mulesoft MUnit Anypoint Studio Anypoint Platform JMeter Groovy ELK
