Job Description

IT Solution Architect to work 39-hour week, mostly remote, with max 5 days onsite at Raheen Business Park, Limerick, during Ireland business hours.
Foundation in system engineering, platform engineering or Information Security is beneficial.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Be a consultant on a range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive business outcomes in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Bring company policies, standards, frameworks, and Enterprise Architecture governance to each project team and apply to each solution.
  • Facilitate and capture detail for the IT Solution Design & Engineering Review (SDER) process, including multiple design iterations of IT architectural drawings using Microsoft Visio.
  • Facilitate and capture detail for risk assessments, including Technical Security Risk Assessment, Vendor Security Risk Assessment, Legal Intellectual Property Assessment, and Data Protection Privacy Impact Assessment.
  • Support Computer System Validation (CSV) to complete an Initial System Assessment as required, to determine if a solution is GXP or otherwise.
  • Assist Application Subject Matter Expert's (SME) for Policy Exception Requests, Requirements Specifications, RFI/RFP process & solution selection.
  • Maintain the IT Configuration Management Database (CMBD) and update it on a regular basis (Service Now), as well as the Lean IX Enterprise Architecture tool.
  • Monitor IT Architecture intake requests.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a global team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • You will be delivering architectural presentations to senior IT and business leadership.
  • Maintain the team task list on Microsoft Teams.
  • Provide weekly status reports of work done and work in progress.
  • Perform other services as requested by the company.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of system design, and implementation.
  • Can articulate Global enterprise systems including design, function, integration, data, security, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) & Data Center, High Availability & Disaster Recovery.
  • Knowledge of Gx P., GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, design layering, ITIL, or TOGAF certification is beneficial.
  • Experience required using Microsoft Visio, including various levels of design, data flow, & UML.
  • Experience using and maintaining records on Service Now & Lean IX Enterprise Architecture Tool.
  • Ability to adhere to site regulations and complete required training associated with working in a GMP environment.
