First Line IT Support Contractor - Technical Support Engineer Location: Dublin 1 Client: Government Sector Please note, this a short term contract: 3 weeks Day Rate: €200 Candidates must possess an EU passport or full valid working visa in order to be considered. Overview: We are seeking motivated and reliable IT Support Contractors to provide first-line support during the rollout of Windows 11 to front-line staff. This role focuses on ensuring a smooth transition and user support during the Windows 11 deployment in a government environment. As a key part of the team, you will help address technical issues, manage service requests, and assist end users through the migration process. Key Responsibilities: Windows 11 Rollout Support: Provide dedicated assistance during the migration to Windows 11, addressing any technical issues, configuration challenges, or software compatibility concerns to ensure a seamless transition for users. End User Assistance: Deliver first-line IT support to end users, handling queries related to the Windows 11 environment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving user access problems. Service Management: Use Service Now to log, track, and manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues and escalating where necessary. Documentation Adherence: Follow provided technical documentation to resolve common issues and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures related to the Windows 11 rollout. Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with end users, offering helpful guidance and troubleshooting support during the migration process. Requirements: Experience: Minimum 2 years in IT support roles, preferably involving large-scale operating system deployments. Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with Windows environments, ideally with hands-on experience in supporting a Windows 11 migration. Experience with Service Now for logging and tracking support tickets is essential. Availability: Available to start within approximately 2 weeks or sooner if possible. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, enthusiastic, and able to quickly learn the nuances of the Windows 11 operating system. Previous experience in supporting operating system upgrades is highly desirable. You should be capable of following structured processes and committed to ensuring a smooth user experience during this critical rollout phase.
