IT Systems Administrator Fixed Term, direct with our client Mountmellick & Portlaoise, Laois (Fully On-site) 8.30 am - 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday Role Overview: As the IT Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure to support the company's operations. This on-site position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in IT systems administration. Key Responsibilities: Maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, Microsoft 365, networks, and hardware. Support key IT, OT, and labelling systems for manufacturing. Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot IT-related issues, including Microsoft 365 applications, network access. Ensure the security and integrity of data, systems, and networks. Implement and monitor backup and recovery Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and upgrades. Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve efficiency. Qualifications: Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or a similar role. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange. Experience with administration and troubleshooting of firewalls and networks. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field. Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent. Nice to Have Experience: The ideal candidate may have additional experience in the following areas: ERP systems. Power BI PowerApps Change Management and Training.
