IT Maintenance Technician - Leading Beef Production Facility Location: Bandon Salary: €40,000 Working Hours: 5 AM - 2 PM / 9 AM until the end of production (3/4 PM) Annual Leave: 20 days Benefits: Pension scheme available after 2 years We are recruiting for an IT Maintenance Technician to join a leading beef processing company with operations across multiple countries in Europe. The company is known for its commitment to quality, sustainability, and supporting local economies by working closely with a large network of farmers. This role will involve a blend of hands-on hardware maintenance tasks and desk-based IT support, focusing primarily on keeping critical systems in optimal working condition. Role Overview: Primary Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on hardware such as servers, printers, and scales within the production facility. Desk-based Tasks: Assist with resolving IT tickets remotely when possible and handle administrative duties like spending reports and daily check sheets. Working Environment: Operate in a production facility that may involve exposure to challenging and dirty conditions, including areas where cattle are processed. Protective gear will be provided. Team Structure: Work directly with a small IT team, including two technicians with significant experience, reporting to the site's designated supervisor. Career Development: There are opportunities to grow within the broader company's IT team. Ideal Candidate: Experience: Background in hardware maintenance is essential; familiarity with software can be developed on the job with the support of the wider Group IT Team. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial setting and dealing with tasks that may involve dirt or exposure to cattle processing areas.
