Job role: Health & Safety advisor - Dublin We are advertising a job role of health and safety advisor for our one of Irelands leading building contractors. This company is looking for a H&S professional who wishes to take the next step in their career and implement a top-down approach to the health and safety of the work that they endeavour into. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who is eager to learn and grow within a main contractor environment with plenty of career progression opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities: Manage emergency procedures, respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues; Keep a focus on health and safety within the business Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employers industry Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation Skills and qualifications: Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred) 2+ years in similar role Previous construction experience IT Skills This is an excellent opportunity for somebody that wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
