Job Description

Junior Associate role involves supporting the Middle Office team in large-scale projects, trade execution, and investment servicing.

Waystone serves assets under management in excess of $2 Tn and provides its clients with the guidance and tools to allow them to focus on managing their investment goals with confidence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Adhere to and follow the middle office checklist daily.
  • Assist the Manager with the design and implementation of internal and operating controls.
  • Evaluate risk levels and escalate as appropriate.
  • Assist the team in ensuring all securities are settled on time and failed trades are investigated.
  • Process all payments across multiple platforms and service providers.
  • Ensure all corporate actions are processed and accounted for.
  • Actively participate in fund governance meetings and attend technical training.
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of Waystone operations and the regulatory implications thereof.
  • Assist the Associate Director in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedural manuals.
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met for an assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction with the service provided and to resolve any potential issues.
  • Liaise with fund service providers and fund legal counsels.

**Requirements:**

  • A degree in Business, finance and/or related area.
  • Ideally, candidates will have some prior hedge fund documentation and client service exposure or have a paralegal or corporate administrator background.
  • A strong interest in the Financial Services Sector.
  • Outstanding time management, organizational skills, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide support to various members of the team.
  • Strong MS Office and Analytic Skills; mid-level information management software experience required.
