Automation Engineer sought to maintain and improve plant automation systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and reducing product costs through efficiency improvements.

**Job Description:**

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and providing support for all plant automation systems.
  • Validating new equipment as per Q.A. procedures.
  • Carrying out continuous improvement on the production lines.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Consulting SOPs for any job task and ensuring adherence to the SOP.
  • Planning and scheduling work in accordance with plant demand and available manpower.
  • Ensuring all Abbott employees & contractors are familiar with all Safety Rules and regulations.
  • Reducing product costs by improving efficiencies.
  • Managing plant automation systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintaining and managing all aspects of Plant Batching System, manufacturing communication network and Predictive Control System.
  • Coordinating CAPA investigations impacting Engineering.
  • Managing maintenance of Medium Voltage Equipment.
  • Managing Manufacturing UPS Systems.
  • Measuring and analysing trends in OSI PI, Scada etc.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • 5 years relevant experience in Automation engineering.
  • Experience working with Siemens PLCs is essential for the role.
  • Experience working on Ignition (SCADA) is an advantage.
