**Job Description:**
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and providing support for all plant automation systems.
- Validating new equipment as per Q.A. procedures.
- Carrying out continuous improvement on the production lines.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Consulting SOPs for any job task and ensuring adherence to the SOP.
- Planning and scheduling work in accordance with plant demand and available manpower.
- Ensuring all Abbott employees & contractors are familiar with all Safety Rules and regulations.
- Reducing product costs by improving efficiencies.
- Managing plant automation systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintaining and managing all aspects of Plant Batching System, manufacturing communication network and Predictive Control System.
- Coordinating CAPA investigations impacting Engineering.
- Managing maintenance of Medium Voltage Equipment.
- Managing Manufacturing UPS Systems.
- Measuring and analysing trends in OSI PI, Scada etc.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent discipline.
- 5 years relevant experience in Automation engineering.
- Experience working with Siemens PLCs is essential for the role.
- Experience working on Ignition (SCADA) is an advantage.
