Job Description

Seeking a Junior Corporate Finance Executive to support senior executives in corporate finance and renewable projects, with a focus on financial analysis, business valuation, and research.

We are working exclusively with a newly established business that provides corporate finance, M&A, transaction management, and strategic advice to clients in the renewable energy sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-depth research on the renewables industry, including market trends, key players, and regulatory developments.
  • Supporting clients with their renewable projects, including finance data analysis, financial modelling, report writing, and proposal development.
  • Assisting in preparing presentations and pitch decks for prospective clients, investors, and senior management.
  • Performing sensitivity analysis and stress tests to assess the potential impact of different scenarios on financial models.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, newsletters, and other materials, including the compilation and summarisation of information, creating clear and concise content, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Contributing to the development of renewable energy initiatives, including conducting research for renewables-focused seminars, workshops, or other events, and assisting with the creation of renewables-focused marketing and educational materials.
  • Providing administrative support to the management team, including managing schedules, organising meetings, preparing documentation, and overseeing the logistics of planning and running educational events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Progress towards or interest in professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Excellent financial analysis and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in finance/corporate finance, investment banking, financial consulting, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with financial modeling and valuation tools is desirable.
  • Interest in and passion for renewable energy and the transition to Net Zero.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to develop professionally.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and commercial awareness.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a corporate finance environment.
