Job Description

Junior Credit Controller role in Dublin 2, with a 6-12 month contract and strong view to permanent position, offering €30,000 - €32,000 DOE and 10% bonus.

This position within the Credit Control team contributes to the company's overall operation, providing a professional Credit Control & administration service to the business while providing accurate and relevant information. The Credit Control position plays a vital role in the Finance Department, working with all staff within the Finance and Legal Departments to maximize credit & cash collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Credit Control ledger for assigned client accounts.
  • Hands-on daily accounts management, including contacting debtors by telephone, letter, and email.
  • Deal with customer queries and resolve invoice queries.
  • Monitor progress towards budgetary targets on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
  • Maintain databases and records used by the Credit Control and Legal teams.
  • Help achieve Cash Collection targets for the Annual Budget.
  • Record all contacts with clients regarding their account on the system.
  • Daily resolution of account/invoice queries, clarification of legal obligations, and collection of payments due.
  • Plan and organize daily work and ledger.
  • Prepare cases for court, ensure necessary documentation is in place, and possibly attend as a witness.
  • Re-brief with Credit Control Manager on performance in relation to targets set and resolving difficult issues with clients.
  • Liaise with Legal Dept, as required via Credit Control Manager, regarding outstanding debts, provision of details of accounts, and decisions on settlement of cases.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience working within Credit Control / Accounts Receivable environment desirable.
  • Open to candidates with experience in Accounts Payable and other financial disciplines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and engage fully with cross-functional teams.
  • Deadline-focused with ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong English, spoken and written.
