The Role of a Junior Einsteins Science Instructor

ESSENTIAL: CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THEIR OWN VEHICLE AND DRIVER'S LICENSE

This role necessitates working in the geographical territory of Kildare. N.B. Please do not apply if you cannot work in Kildare.

Currently recruiting for Easter Science Camp Science Instructors and/or After School Science Club Science Instructors. Searching for high energy, fun, enthusiastic, happy educational entertainers to join our team for an immediate start. Full training and resources provided.

Science Instructors part-time wanted for After School Clubs in various schools as well as school holiday camps and weekend birthday parties. We are searching for only the most fun, committed, reliable, and dedicated STEM instructors for our Kildare team.

As Junior Einsteins Science Club Science Instructor, you will travel to venues and events to deliver science education-based events to children (ages 5-12 years) in County Kildare Schools. Must be willing to travel within the specific territory; Kildare.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver science-based educational sessions in after-school science clubs in the afternoons (approx times 2pm - 3/5pm Monday - Friday inclusive).
  2. Take care of provided equipment.
  3. Responsible for the health and safety of children during the events.
  4. Conduct weekend birthday parties Saturday and Sunday between 11am - 6pm.
  5. Manage school holiday camps during mid-term breaks and summer holidays (9am - 2pm daily).
  6. Report to our Activity Coordinator or franchise Owner.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Passion and enthusiasm for communicating science.
  • Enjoy working with children.
  • Responsible and following safety standards when working with children.
  • Commitment to our schools and children.
  • Ability to engage children when presenting science facts.
  • Professional presentation towards parents, schools, and companies when providing STEM events.
  • Capable of adhering to Junior Einsteins policies and procedures.
  • Providing accurate science facts in a child-friendly manner (full training provided; no science qualification needed).
  • Strong work ethic and a highly organized manner.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in working with children (ideally between 4-12).
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Punctuality and willingness to travel (within County Kildare).
  • Respectful to the senior team and follow Junior Einsteins rules.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours.
  • Do not apply unless you have full use of a reliable car (Go-car, taxi, motorbike or bike are NOT for this role).

Job Type: Specified-purpose

Pay: Up to €53.00 per hour
