Junior Electrical Project Engineer - M&E Contractor Office/Project Location: Swords Employment Type: Permanent Work Location: Office Based / Hybrid Pay: €40k - €50k per year Experience: 2+ years Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required Our client is a multi-disciplinary Building services contractor with extensive expertise in key areas of commercial, industrial, retail, and healthcare. They are looking for a Junior Electrical Project Engineer with a minimum of 2+ years of Irish postgraduate experience. The ideal candidate will grow into a Senior Project Manager role. Projects will be based in Dublin and the surrounding areas along the M9 corridor. Note: Irish, EU, UK, Stamp 4 or Stamp 1G applicants only will be considered as there is no sponsorship opportunity for this role. All applicants must currently be residing in the Republic of Ireland. Key Responsibilities Undertaking design review of technical drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with industry standards. Ensuring works are installed in accordance with project specifications & to the project QA plan. Developing various engineering solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval. Compliance to Design/IFC specifications and drawings including management of Requests for Information (RFI) for issuing to the client. Using engineering software tools such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech Pro Design, Navisworks, BIM, Procore, etc. Reviewing coordinated construction drawings and documents, preparing & monitoring technical submittals for client approval. Reviewing specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specifications. Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or similar qualification. 2+ years' experience in a similar role - project engineering, electrical engineering experience gained in building services, etc. Excellent IT skills in AutoCAD, Navisworks or Revit, Microsoft Office. Demonstrable knowledge of the current electrical, fire alarm and emergency lighting standards within Ireland. Excellent diagnostic skills & engineering problem-solving skills.
