Junior Estimator The Osborne Technical and Engineering team are very pleased to be sourcing for our multinational civil engineering client, with their Head Office based in Cavan. An intrinsically family owned business, the company has grown substantially over the last 50 years and now operates nationally and internationally. To accentuate their growth, our client is looking to employ a Junior Estimator to join their team. About You: Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Engineering discipline 1-3 years experience is preferable Good technical writing skills Strong computer skills with particular expertise in MS Office, especially Excel / 365 Sharepoint Excellent communication skills Ability to successfully perform in a fast paced environment Whats in it for you: A highly competitive remuneration and benefits package An excellent mentoring program Support in career development Internal career growth opportunities Opportunity to work with a motivated, highly dedicated team Potential for hybrid work model Exposure to projects in diverse specialisms and industry sectors Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Obtaining tender and pre-qualification documents and distributing within the Estimating Department Subcontractor and material supplier enquiries Checking of contract documents Quantity measurement and take offs from drawings Maintaining supplier and subcontractor databases including sourcing of vendors in new and existing business units Assisting with pre-qualification submissions Creating tenders within the companys proprietary estimating software package Comparing subcontract and material quotations Tracking enquiries and investigating queries Ensuring safety and environmental controls are adequately estimated into contracts Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organisation To be considered for this position apply today or call Paula Ferrie on If you are interested in finding out more about the above role and would like to be considered for this or other suitable roles that we may have available for your skill set please attach your CV via the link provided.
