Job Description
- Assist the H&S Manager with the daily management of the company's safety management system.
- Support the development and implementation of health and safety policies, procedures, and practices.
- Develop and update SOPs and conduct risk assessments as required.
- Participate in regular site safety meetings to report and discuss safety performance with managers.
- Maintain up-to-date training records for all employees, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews of risk assessments and other safety documents.
- Implement and manage internal safety audit processes at site level, report findings, and track performance.
- Prepare weekly safety reports.
- Conduct regular and unscheduled safety audits both independently and with team members.
Requirements
- A 3rd-level qualification in Health and Safety or at least 1 year of relevant experience in a food production, manufacturing, or similarly regulated environment.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and other relevant software.
- Experience in a health and safety role within the food production or manufacturing sector is desirable.
- A full driving licence and access to a car.
