About the Role
This exciting opportunity is for a Junior Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Huntstown Power Station in Dublin. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of our employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare legislation and regulations.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor safe systems of work and introduce improvements where necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant health, safety, and welfare legislation and communicate changes to the business.
- Maintain Health and Safety induction programs for contractors and employees.
- Assist in the creation and review of Health and Safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Investigate incidents, document findings, and implement corrective measures.
- Carry out risk assessments, inspections, and site audits as required.
Requirements
- Possess or be working towards a third-level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience of carrying out risk assessments and conducting Health and Safety audits.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong MS Office skills.
