About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for a Junior Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Huntstown Power Station in Dublin. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of our employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare legislation and regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor safe systems of work and introduce improvements where necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant health, safety, and welfare legislation and communicate changes to the business.
  • Maintain Health and Safety induction programs for contractors and employees.
  • Assist in the creation and review of Health and Safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Investigate incidents, document findings, and implement corrective measures.
  • Carry out risk assessments, inspections, and site audits as required.

Requirements

  • Possess or be working towards a third-level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience of carrying out risk assessments and conducting Health and Safety audits.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
