As a Junior Java Developer, you'll work on meaningful projects that transform the future for high-profile local and international clients. Responsibilities include:
- Coding new developments and/or enhancements as defined in a technical design.
- Adhering to code quality and unit testing standards.
- Identifying and implementing integration tests, automating tests where appropriate.
- Participating in peer reviews of code.
- Providing system test support when code is migrated to System Test.
- Designing and delivering innovative solutions to client needs using J2EE technology.
- Creating high-quality solutions that are validated using approaches such as Test-driven development.
Requirements include:
- A Third level qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline.
- JAVA/J2EE development experience essential.
- Ideally, some demonstrated industry experience in one or more of the following:
- Systems Analysis & Design; Software Development
- Object Orientated Design; Software Development techniques
- Agile Java technologies, spring frameworks, hibernate, angular JS, COBOL, salt, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web services, relational databases, unit/integration test.
- Experience with RxJs, NgRx is desirable.
- Database Development & Administration in - Oracle, UNIX, XML, SQL Server in particular.
- Implementation of Software Patterns; Web Design and Development.
- Be in commutable distance to Dublin West/Kildare.
