Position: Junior Mechanical Estimator Due to increased project demand they are seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their team. The successful candidate will assist in preparing accurate mechanical cost estimates, playing a crucial role in their project success. Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, this position involves analysing project specifications and documentation to create detailed cost assessments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a supportive team, where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential. Key Responsibilities: Support estimators in quantifying mechanical services from drawings to develop comprehensive and compliant tender figures. Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare pricing documents. Issue work packages to suppliers and subcontractors for pricing. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal team members. Assist in reviewing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Support the Estimating Team in preparing tender submission documents. Help maintain and update cost databases, ensuring all data is accurate and current. Candidate Requirements: A relevant third-level qualification is preferred. At least one year of post-qualification experience is desirable. Familiarity with a contracting environment is advantageous. A proactive approach to teamwork and independent tasks. High attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel. A willingness to learn and grow. Ability to multitask in a dynamic office setting.
