ProSource are currently seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of respectable Main Contractor to be based in Galway. This client is a renowned Main Building Contractor with a rich legacy of excellence that has come from decades of delivering high-quality projects. This is a great opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to learn the best practice from Senior Quantity Surveyors working on a wide range of projects. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. Perform cost analysis for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Assist in the assessment of variations to contracts, ensuring accurate cost control. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and assess any potential cost implications. Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for management review. Maintain accurate records of all cost-related activities throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant quantity surveying software. Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous internship or work experience in quantity surveying or construction industry is desirable. Package: €35,000 - €40,000 DOE Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and pension plan.
