Junior Quantity Surveyor sought for a Main Building Contractor in Monaghan, with a strong commercial team and limited site visits.
About the Role:
- Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
- Ensuring sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems
- Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation
- Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments
- Assisting with estimations for new projects and tender process
- Re-measurement of Bills of Quantities
- Leading and providing support/mentorship to a commercial team
- Carrying out Material Take-offs
- Preparation of Interim valuations and final account
- Managing and valuing variations
- Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts
- Establishing, maintaining and enhancing effective working relationships
- Planning, allocating and evaluating work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself
