Currently seeking a Junior Site Engineer to join in Cork. Job Overview: We are looking for a Junior Site Engineer to support our construction projects in Cork. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities on-site. This role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop valuable skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Site Surveying and Setting Out: Assist senior engineers in conducting site surveys and setting out construction works as per project requirements. Use surveying instruments and equipment accurately to ensure precise measurements and alignments. Construction Support: Provide technical support to the construction team and subcontractors on-site. Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Quality Control and Assurance: Assist in implementing quality control measures to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications. Conduct inspections and tests as required to verify compliance with quality standards. Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain awareness of health and safety regulations and company policies. Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings, and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly. Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining accurate records of site activities, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and as-built drawings. Prepare and submit reports and documentation as required by senior management and project stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Previous experience or internships in construction or site engineering would be advantageous but not essential. Basic understanding of construction principles, techniques, and terminology. Proficiency in the use of surveying instruments and equipment. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
