Job Description

Job Title: Junior SoC Design EngineerLocation: Dublin, IrelandSalary Range: 45K – 50K EUR Per AnnumResponsibilities:Contribute to SoC Development: Support the SoC development process from project launch to validation, assisting in various stages of design and verification.Mixed-Signal SoC Methodology: Help develop and refine methodologies for mixed-signal SoCs, including quantum arrays. Gain experience in all aspects of SoC design flow, from RTL and functional verification to schematic and physical verification in advanced technology nodes (22nm and smaller).Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with architecture, hardware, software, and quantum teams to understand and contribute to the generation of project requirements.Assist in SoC Architecture: Participate in the partitioning of SoC architecture, selecting components, interfaces, and helping to optimize performance while learning to balance trade-offs.Support Project Execution: Learn to contribute to the execution plan, assist in meeting milestones, and help estimate resources for project tasks.Hands-On Problem Solving: Take a proactive approach to resolving issues as they arise throughout the project execution cycle.Documentation & Reporting: Assist in generating clear and concise documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate design and verification results, project status, and recommendations to stakeholders.Engage with Industry Partners: Collaborate with foundry partners and support the evaluation of third-party IP.Test Chip Design: Contribute to developing strategies for testing, including post-silicon, and assist in the design of test chips.Requirements:1-4 Years of Experience: Ideally, 1-4 years of hands-on experience in SoC design or a related field.Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Fundamental Knowledge: Basic understanding of semiconductor device physics and SoC design principles. Familiarity with low power SoC architectures, system partitions, and trade-offs is a plus.Technical Skills: Exposure to digital, analog, and RF block design and integration challenges. Experience with current EDA tools and methodologies is an advantage.Problem Solving: Developing strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.Team Collaboration: Willingness to work collaboratively across teams and contribute to multi-disciplinary projects.Proactive & Motivated: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
