Job Description

Job seeker with laboratory science background required to provide technical support for electronic systems used in analytical testing and reporting.

Responsible for the operational and technical support of electronic systems used in analytical testing, recording, and reporting analytical test results. These systems include laboratory information management systems, chromatography systems, and other laboratory software.

Educational requirements include a diploma in a laboratory science or equivalent experience. Experience or aptitude in laboratory E-systems is also preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as system administrator for E-systems used in the laboratory, including troubleshooting issues and providing technical support.
  • Updates system data per change control and action item requests.
  • Contacts IT regarding system upgrades and validation of electronic systems used across the laboratory.
  • Contacts global system representatives and tabulates and consolidates systems information for customers.
  • Present informal reports of results to immediate supervision.
  • Works with analytical electronic technologies, including qualification and routine maintenance of instruments.
  • Involved in deviation investigations and records errors encountered, as per procedures and training.
  • Follows Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and participates in incident investigations as required.
  • Assists in the training of other personnel as skill level develops.
  • Displays high level of integrity in the performance of work and relates well to other people.
  • Knowledgeable of general scientific methods and capable of learning new techniques and instrumentation.
  • Participates in or leads area or cross-functional continuous improvement projects.
