Currently working in exclusive partnership with a pioneering Manufacturing business based in Cork. we are delighted to be working with a long-time contact who launched this eco-friendly manufacturing business 18 months ago, offering plastic free products into the manufacturing sector. With the manufacturing based in Cork, Ireland we are on the lookout for a Lab Technician to come and support the manufacturing team. With two rounds of funding secured and another round about to be completed, this start-up is bringing innovative alternative products to reduce plastic wastage to the world of manufacturing. We would ideally like to speak to candidates based in Ireland and we are happy to consider candidates who would be willing to relocate but at this stage we cannot financially support a Relocation or Sponsorshi costs. Ideally you will have some level of microbiology/ biology/ chemistry experience/qualifications. Ideal candidate would be a lab technician in either the chemical/microbiology lab of a food company. The role will be a 100% on-site role. It is imperative that you have industry experience we will not consider any recent graduates. Salary is up to 30,000 Euros, Pension & Holidays, also we are looking for someone who can grow & develop within the business. The role would require: * Daily checks/ observation of the lab/ product - consistent record keeping * Data analysis to aid in process and product improvement * Basic understanding of clean rooms * Experience working in the lab - preparing agar plates/ Petri dishes/ inoculating substrates. * Ability to follow SOPs and process Flows and create new ones * Testing of new strains & substrates (ongoing R&D projects) * Daily clean downs If this role is of interest, please apply through this advert with the most recent and up to date version of your CV or if you want to have an exploratory chat initially please call Giuseppe Leo, at Alexander Steele Recruitment or email him to arrange a call
