We are now looking for a kind and reliable Laundry Assistant, for our Brookfield Care Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment whilst working with an experienced team of Healthcare Professionals in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
The role of the laundry assistant is to ensure that Nursing Home laundry is laundered to a high standard and that all resident's laundry is returned to them.
Key Responsibilities
The Laundry Assistant will be responsible for washing, drying and ironing of all personal and household Laundry within the nursing home in a timely manner
Follow the Laundry cleaning schedule and proactively sort and label the clothing
Follow the instructions for the use of the laundry machinery and report any defects in the equipment
Make sure all laundry stocks are in sufficient supply and report low stocks to the Housekeeping manager.
Report to the Housekeeping manager any clothes that need replacing
Return all clothes to the correct resident in good condition
Qualifications and Skills
- Relative experience in a similar environment an advantage
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Availability to work shift patterns across Monday to Sunday

Salary: €12.70-€13.00 per hour
