Lead Controls Engineer
Join our team of engineers in Galway, Ireland and contribute to the development of innovative products.
This role involves working with hardware, software, and system integration to develop control systems that provide superior performance, reliability, and diagnostics. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing controller models for system-level control algorithms and logic.
- Executing model-in-the-loop simulations to verify control behavior and performance.
- Supporting system and sub-system level integration testing.
- Reviewing and analyzing system test data.
- Mentoring and supervising team members.
- Working with software development teams to integrate model-generated software.
- Adhering to model development standards and processes.
- Collaborating with system integration teams and product management.
- Driving project execution to achieve project milestones.
- Developing and executing team technology and process strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and at least 12 years of experience in controls, electronics, systems, or software engineering. A Master's Degree in Control Theory is strongly preferred. Key competencies include:
- Experience with model-based design processes and modeling & simulation of complex systems.
- Understanding of control system design.
- Classical control knowledge.
- Advanced control knowledge.
- Advanced proficiency with Simulink and Stateflow.
- Understanding of optimization techniques.
- Experience with MAAB, J-MAAB, IEC 62304 standards or equivalents.
- Experience in automating processes.
- Proficiency in SVN, Jenkins, or Dymola.
