Job Description

Meta is looking for a dynamic, flexible, team player to serve as Lead Counsel, Labor & Employment, EMEA, on the Employment Law & Investigations team. This position will be based in Dublin or London but will be responsible for EMEA-wide employment law support. Lead Counsel, Labor & Employment, EMEA Responsibilities: Providing strategic advice and counsel to our ER and HR teams across the region on a broad range of employee related issues including performance and disciplinary matters, reorganisations, internal investigations, future of work programs, compensation and benefits, corporate transactions, and employment policies and procedures. Drafting and revising employment related agreements and policies including offer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employee handbooks, and other employment related documents. Partnering with internal teams to build processes and playbooks for recurring employee-related matters. Working on other region wide projects and initiatives. Support employment litigation as necessary. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of post-qualification experience in labor and employment. Qualified lawyer in at least one EMEA jurisdiction with strong academic credentials (Bachelor of Law or equivalent degree). Experience with labor and employment law in EMEA including performance management, compliance and disciplinary procedures. Willingness to learn employment laws in new jurisdictions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to provide practical advice and bring strategic and scalable solutions. Experience with coordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects. Collaborative, able to move fast and learn quickly, and solution oriented. Willingness to work extended hours when necessary to connect with colleagues from other regions. Preferred Qualifications: In-house experience preferred but not necessarily required.
