Lead Data Engineer Location: Cork Salary: €(phone number removed) (DOE) Hybrid Reperio are working with a major software company who are looking to add to their Data team ahead of a projected busy year in 2025. To facilitate this, they are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to play a crucial role in building and optimizing data pipelines, driving architecture decisions, and ensuring the smooth operation of data platforms. The successful candidate will implement data models, warehouses, and ETL processes to support analytics, machine learning, and reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance managing a team with technical execution. Requirements: 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role. Expertise in building and managing ETL pipelines and data workflows. Expertise in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with AWS cloud platforms and familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). Deep understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and database design principles. Strong knowledge of big data tools and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering.
