A Lead Design Engineer is needed to enhance fire protection systems design activities, overseeing multiple projects, and managing a team of Design Engineers.
Job Description:
- Lead and manage a team of Design Engineers to maximise their potential
- Oversee multiple design projects, ensuring quality and efficiency
- Resolve coordination and design roadblocks effectively
- Manage drawing standards and specifications
- Ensure compliance with LCBP standards and accreditation processes
- Develop and update Design SOPs, manuals, and procedures
- Track, monitor, and update the progress of all designs in project management systems
- Implement standard design tools to enhance project execution efficiencies
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and development of team members
- Promote and maintain a positive HSEQ culture and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of Fire Sprinkler Design Experience
- Experience using Revit, Auto CAD/Solid Works
- Demonstrated skills in Project Management
- LPCB - Basic, Intermediate, and FHC Exams desirable but not essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and can-do attitude to work
- Proven record of building and sustaining effective and professional working relationships
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and reliability skills
