Lead DevOps Automation Engineer
Seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead our client in DevOps automation and best practices, with expertise in CI/CD tools and scripting languages.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software delivery and development, with experience in designing and implementing efficient CI/CD pipelines, automating software delivery, and introducing new technologies and architecture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining, designing, and developing procedures and solutions to meet business requirements and enhancements.
- Automating and simplifying all aspects of software delivery and development.
- Providing development and architecture guidance to team members.
- Designing and implementing effective and efficient CI/CD flows.
- Engaging in and improving the whole life cycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
Required skills include:
- Experience with industry standard CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef.
- Experience designing and implementing an effective and efficient CI/CD flow.
- Experience with scripting languages like Java, Python, Go, Groovy, Perl, or Ruby.
- Experience with Chef and Ansible, including writing recipes/cookbooks and playbooks.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Engaging in and improving the whole life cycle of services.
- Scaling systems sustainably through automation and mechanisms.
- Practicing sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
- Working with a global team spread across multiple geographies and time zones.
