Job Description
We are seeking a talented Lead Programmer to join our team at Electric Square Ireland, a brand-new 5th studio with big ambitions and a forward-thinking approach to game development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing systems and game code, mentoring less experienced programmers, and communicating effectively with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads code team, setting an example for and mentoring less experienced programmers.
- Develops technical design specifications for complex projects and implements them.
- Designs, develops, writes, tests and implements systems and game code.
- Works with designers, artists and other personnel involved in the development process to create high-quality products.
- Tests and refines gameplay features throughout the development cycle of the project.
- Mentors and conducts regular one-to-ones with project engineering team.
- Estimates own tasks and delivers high-quality code to schedule.
- Performs code reviews with the team to ensure code quality.
Requirements:
- AAA game development experience.
- Proficient in C/C++ with a minimum of 6 years experience.
- 5 years experience working in the video games industry.
- 4 years experience in console or mobile programming.
- Worked on at least 2 shipped games.
