The Role

  • Own complex problems having dependency across services and facilitate cross-functional team interactions to drive resolution
  • Define, design, and develop procedures and solutions at a service level to meet the business requirements/enhancements
  • Automate and simplify all aspects of software delivery and development by actively evangelizing the need to automate and simplify where needed.
  • Introduce new technologies and architecture by following enterprise guidelines
  • Provide development and architecture guidance to team members

About the Team

We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer who can help us solve problems, build our CI/CD pipelines and lead Mastercard in Dev Ops automation and best practices.

  • Experience in industry standard CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef
  • Proven experience writing chef recipes/cookbooks or Ansible playbooks as well as designing and implementing an overall Chef or Ansible based release and deployment process
  • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services-from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement
  • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
  • Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, Groovy, Perl or Ruby
