Due to our continued expansion, a vacancy has arisen for a Lead Valve Technician to support our growing service based product offering, the role is both onsite in our customers facilities and in our workshop in Carrigaline reporting to the Engineering Works Manager. Primary Responsibilities Overhaul and recertification of relief valves including conventional, balances bellows, pilot operated and vacuum types Overhaul, test and recertification of all control valves, actuators, and ancillary equipment Troubleshooting and problem solving of various types of valves Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments on all related work scopes Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team Plan and coordinate any project or shutdown work as and when required Conduct site surveys and produce reports of the equipment along with the client and/or the companys requirements Ensure all workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly and all records kept up to date Responsible for the general housekeeping within and surrounding the department Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions Qualifications & Experience Mechanical fitter qualification or similar Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role Experience working with valves Preferred Experience in a technical role (ideally within the valve industry) Full drivers license Attributes Integrity a team player, also welcoming the challenge of working on his/her own initiative Flexibility demonstrated strong project management skills, with an ability to work in a busy and collaborative team environment Excellence the capability to think laterally and provide innovative solutions
