Job Description

Supporting aircraft worldwide, Parker Aerospace's Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) provides primary and secondary flight control systems that make flight possible. Tested, proven and trusted in commercial and military applications for decades. The division's Je Pipe electohydraulic serovalve (EHSV) technology is used across commercial and military aircraft around the world.

Provides precise position-control solutions for military aircraft across the United States and with foreign partners.
Delivers practical, hands-on training to associates in PLS (Parker Lean System) methodology and tools to eliminate waste in manufacturing and support functions.
Leads PFMEA (Product Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities to mitigate failures in the manufacturing environment.
Develops and coordinates the standardization of manufacturing processes to support quality and productivity improvements.
Ensures the development of a robust Lean Future State Strategy to be implemented division-wide.

Assists in the implementation of lean initiatives in a multi-site division, supporting Plant Lean Leaders and Manufacturing Engineers through required and special team meetings.
Provides high-level technical and operational recommendations in meeting productivity, material control, product quality, and customer service goals.
Communicates the status of all lean efforts to the Division Lean Manager.

Has a minimum of a BSME or related four-year technical degree and a minimum of five years of manufacturing experience demonstrating self-starting and hands-on quality.
Has successfully led a minimum of ten (10) Kaizen events within a manufacturing environment.
Has a good understanding of lean principles, including Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S's, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma, and Communication Tools.
Has excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment.
Has good presentation skills to effectively share the success and ideas of the Division.
Transfers the ownership of Lean principles to facility leadership and Lean Managers.
Is responsible for championing and leading Lean initiatives at the Division level by utilizing the Company's WIN Strategy.
Organizes associates in value stream mapping and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste in all office, factory, and support functions.

Ensures adherence to PLS standards for the Site, Value Stream, and Team Improvement boards, enabling a PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) culture and progression of the Lean Journey.
Supports Plant Lean Leaders and Manufacturing Engineers through required and special team meetings in a multi-site division.
Provides documentation of results and benefits achieved to the Division and the Corporate Lean Leader, as reported through Parker's Lean Journey Assessment and Win Scorecard.
