**Job Summary: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at RCSI Dublin and Soochow University, China** We are seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to join our team at RCSI Dublin and Soochow University, China. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing pharmacy and pharmaceutical science courses, establishing and growing a research program, and contributing to the development of forward-thinking teaching materials and assessment methods. **About the Role:** * Deliver and assess pharmacy and pharmaceutical science courses to undergraduate students * Establish and grow a research program in one of the following areas: basic sciences related to pharmacy, clinically-relevant pharmacy fields, computational biology/data analytics, or pharmaceutical industry experience * Contribute to the development of forward-thinking teaching materials and assessment methods * Participate in the quality assurance and accreditation processes * Collaborate with colleagues in Soochow University to identify opportunities for productive collaborations and increase international research portfolio **Responsibilities:** * Deliver and assess pharmacy and pharmaceutical science courses * Establish and grow a research program * Contribute to the development of forward-thinking teaching materials and assessment methods * Participate in quality assurance and accreditation processes * Collaborate with colleagues in Soochow University * Supervise undergraduate research students and postgraduate students at Masters and PhD level * Participate in the development of RCSI's teaching and learning strategy * Represent the best interests of the School and RCSI at all times **Requirements:** * PhD degree in one of the following areas: basic sciences related to pharmacy, clinically-relevant pharmacy fields, computational biology/data analytics, or pharmaceutical industry experience * Strong teaching interest and skill set, as evidenced by experience of, a proven track record in, and enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching and assessment in Pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences or the biological sciences * Enthusiasm for your specialist teaching area and the ability to engage your students to successfully transfer this passion and learning * Capacity for original thought and the ability to produce original and up to date teaching methods * Ability to continuously adapt and innovate teaching methods to ensure students' full understanding * Excellent communication style appropriate to audience and situation * Strong commitment to own personal and professional development * Excellent time-management skills to effectively progress across all three domains of responsibilities (teaching, research, and service) * Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships * Proven ability for both independent working and teamwork
