Job Description

Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer Assistant Professor in Veterinary Nursing within School of Veterinary Medicine. The School of Veterinary Medicine delivers a national and international accredited 4 year degree programme in Veterinary Nursing. The first BSc (VN) cohort of this program graduated in June 2013. The appointee will be based in the Veterinary Nursing Section of the School of Veterinary Medicine. The successful applicant will be responsible for directing the programme, leading the veterinary nursing academic team, curriculum review, subject head duties and enhancement of the undergraduate Veterinary Nursing programme and graduate programmes as deemed appropriate. They will also be required to deliver teaching, learning and assessment appropriate to clinical veterinary nursing training and actively engage in research. There may be opportunities to also deliver on the MVB or other programmes, depending on the appointee's skillset and workload. The School encourages innovation in planning new educational initiatives, and also particularly welcomes applications from those who can best foster collaboration with other disciplines within and outside the School. 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary: €62,855 - €99,533 per annum.
