Job Description
Hibernia College, a leader in career education, seeks a Lecturer in Education to join its Post-Primary team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and sustaining the college's mission and values, leading the development and growth of the programme, and overseeing the work of the Foundation Studies modules.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years' teaching experience in Ireland, a Master's degree in Education or a related discipline, and excellent knowledge of the Post-Primary School Curriculum.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing programme plans, monitoring and evaluating programme progress
- Liaising with the Post-Primary team and academic administration
- Supervising students on School Placement and student-teacher dissertations
- Collaborating with academic administration and learning services
- Grading, second marking, and moderating student work
Desirable qualifications include a PhD and research experience, as well as experience in managing dispersed teams and designing and managing assessment.
